Breaking out of ruts

Everyone gets into ruts. Some of them have to do with your personal life and others are about food.
We have gotten into a rut lately with food. I love to try new things (this was not always true) but my children are hesitant. So, I have decided to try at least two new recipes per week! I'm sure they won't like a few but I'm hoping they'll like some so we can add those to my menu planner!

This time I was searching for a taco type recipe and of course I found one on Pinterest!

This recipe was a winner for all! My children helped me make it and there were exclamations of delight as they ate it!

The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter

I don't like giving spoilers because I believe that everyone should read and judge a book for themself. This book is worth the time, believe me! Here's my review: Oh wow! This book is amazing! There are so many twists and turns. I thought I had it figured out and then it turns out that I didn't!! I enjoyed everything about this book. The setting of a picturesque small beach town is perfect! The cast of characters are relatable and easy to like. The little surprises that popped out here and there kept me interested and involved!!

Until We All Share Joy by Heather Wood

This is a wonderful novella! I was totally captivated by the story in its entirety. The characters are relatable and easy to like. Titan is my favorite! His compassion and gentleman-like ways are endearing. He grows so much during the book and he also helps others grow. Grandfather Gates is wonderful! He appears gruff and grouchy but he has a heart of gold. This book helped me to remember how blessed I am to have a family that loves me and to cherish every moment with them. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series!
