Sugary Sweets

I get my sweet tooth from my grandmother. She is now 92 years old and has secret stashes of candy around her house. I'm not that bad (yet)! Some of my fondest memories of her when I was little was that she always had candy in her purse.
Little mints, gum, sometimes even chocolate would find its way into my hand when I sat next to her on road trips!  At her house there was always one or two candy dishes proudly displaying its wares!

I know that sweet stuff is in my blood (literally) so I do try to limit myself. My girls talked me into making this S'more dip last night....

The recipe is by Cleverly Simple. I did have to substitute a few ingredients. I did not have chocolate bars on hand so I used mini morsels. I only had mini marshmallows so I used those. All in all, it was undoubtedly sweet. My girls loved it! I ate a small amount! It is the perfect substitute for a rainy day when you're really craving S'mores!
Enjoy!

Go See America by Matt Tory

Absolutely splendid! Wow! I love this book so much! Here's my review: This is a fantastic book! It's divided into 7 regions of the USA. I enjoyed reading and learning about every place that was included. Some of them I have been to and the rest are on my bucket list. The pictures are extraordinary! They made me want to hop on a plane and go on an adventure. I hope the author writes more books like these. I won a complimentary copy of the book from LibraryThing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter

I don't like giving spoilers because I believe that everyone should read and judge a book for themself. This book is worth the time, believe me! Here's my review: Oh wow! This book is amazing! There are so many twists and turns. I thought I had it figured out and then it turns out that I didn't!! I enjoyed everything about this book. The setting of a picturesque small beach town is perfect! The cast of characters are relatable and easy to like. The little surprises that popped out here and there kept me interested and involved!!

Let us March On by Shara Moon

Here's my review: This book was informative and interesting! I love it when authors take a piece of history and create an amazing fictional story. FDR is one of the presidents that I admire and this book showcased his leadership abilities and his dedication to the United States of America. Lizzie is an exceptional woman! She's an advocate, a confidant, and extremely loyal. She stayed with FDR literally until the end. We need more people in the world like Lizzie!
