A New Year!

So it's now a new year. I hope it's a great year! I made a goal to try at least 25 new recipes per year and I'll try to do that. I am having some health issues so that's why my posting has been sporadic.
So, here's to a new year!

First recipe tried was Low Carb Pecan Pie by Keto Connect. I made this for my husband who is doing the low carb diet. He loves it!

The next recipe I tried was Chicken Parmesan Meatballs by barefeetinthekitchen.com!
These were wonderful! They had a slight crunch which reminded me of chicken parmesan. They were easy to make and even my kids gobbled them up!

These were very good! I like to find new ways to cook pork and this did not disappoint. I didn't make the potatoes because we didn't have any. If I make it again, I will try the potatoes!

Here's my review: This book was informative and interesting! I love it when authors take a piece of history and create an amazing fictional story. FDR is one of the presidents that I admire and this book showcased his leadership abilities and his dedication to the United States of America. Lizzie is an exceptional woman! She's an advocate, a confidant, and extremely loyal. She stayed with FDR literally until the end. We need more people in the world like Lizzie!

The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter

I don't like giving spoilers because I believe that everyone should read and judge a book for themself. This book is worth the time, believe me! Here's my review: Oh wow! This book is amazing! There are so many twists and turns. I thought I had it figured out and then it turns out that I didn't!! I enjoyed everything about this book. The setting of a picturesque small beach town is perfect! The cast of characters are relatable and easy to like. The little surprises that popped out here and there kept me interested and involved!!
