Her Part to Play by Jenny Erlingsson

I had the utter delight of reviewing this book! I'd never heard of this author, but now she's on my radar! Here's my review: Wow! I found this to be a delightful and enchanting book! A combination of a Hollywood star who crosses paths with a southern makeup artist; one with an axe to grind. What could possibly go wrong? The setting of Hope Springs is serene. The wide open spaces and clear sky offer peace to those who are searching for it. The characters are written brilliantly! I felt an instant connection with Adanne. She's carrying heavy burdens that she feels she can't share. She's also trying to hold on to her parents' legacy despite its financial issues. John amazes me. He starts out as this man who can barely hold his life together. Then he gives his heart to God, and the pieces of his life start to fall in place. The BEST parts of the book for me are the ones that involve faith in God! "You see, family, the question is not if God is doing something new. The question is, will we position ourselves to see it." This book will stay with me for a while. The lesson that we don't have to try and fight our battles alone is worth remembering. Sometimes, people are waiting to be asked to help. The Higher Desire Wife by J Parker

There's a lack of Christian books available to review on Library Thing so this is one that I chose to win. It's pretty explicit in some areas, some of it actually made me blush. Here's my review: I found this book to be interesting and informative! This book outlines helpful information for women whose sexual drive is higher than their husbands. The author provides hope, advice, and even scriptures to help women as they walk this path. I found a lot of wisdom and practical ways to apply this information in my own life. I won this book from Baker Books via LibraryThing!

Until We All Share Joy by Heather Wood

This is a wonderful novella! I was totally captivated by the story in its entirety. The characters are relatable and easy to like. Titan is my favorite! His compassion and gentleman-like ways are endearing. He grows so much during the book and he also helps others grow. Grandfather Gates is wonderful! He appears gruff and grouchy but he has a heart of gold. This book helped me to remember how blessed I am to have a family that loves me and to cherish every moment with them. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series!

Becoming Madam Secretary by Stephanie Dray

I really enjoyed this book! It inspired me to research this time period and the people who shaped history then! Here's my review: This is an intriguing and interesting book! Historical fiction is my favorite genre, and this book is captivating. I had never heard of Frances Perkins before. I will definitely be researching her life and the ways that she attributed to politics. She was an amazing woman who sacrificed a lot to help her country.
