The Oystercatcher of Southwark by Erica Colahan

I was on the launch team for this book! I really enjoyed it! Here's my review: This book blew me away! The author's writing is phenomenal. The dual timeline kept me in suspense as I wondered what was going to happen next. It's a heartbreaking story of forbidden love, broken families, and sacrifice. It's also about redemption, the power of friendship and healing. Mary intrigued me from the beginning. Her father's love for her is apparent. She's an old soul, an artist, curious. When her path crosses with Jakob, her entire life changes. She loves him and fears him. Soon, her life changes, and she faces new challenges. I love Mrs. Oliver! Her personality is authentic. She's hospitable, compassionate, and giving. She is independent and a good provider. The epilogue is my favorite part of the book. When Mollie opened her present, my heart rejoiced! Side note: I recommend reading the author's note. It offers insight into the background of this amazing story. I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from Chrism Press. Here's my review: This book was informative and interesting! I love it when authors take a piece of history and create an amazing fictional story. FDR is one of the presidents that I admire and this book showcased his leadership abilities and his dedication to the United States of America. Lizzie is an exceptional woman! She's an advocate, a confidant, and extremely loyal. She stayed with FDR literally until the end. We need more people in the world like Lizzie!

Absolutely splendid! Wow! I love this book so much! Here's my review: This is a fantastic book! It's divided into 7 regions of the USA. I enjoyed reading and learning about every place that was included. Some of them I have been to and the rest are on my bucket list. The pictures are extraordinary! They made me want to hop on a plane and go on an adventure. I hope the author writes more books like these. I won a complimentary copy of the book from LibraryThing. I don't like giving spoilers because I believe that everyone should read and judge a book for themself. This book is worth the time, believe me! Here's my review: Oh wow! This book is amazing! There are so many twists and turns. I thought I had it figured out and then it turns out that I didn't!! I enjoyed everything about this book. The setting of a picturesque small beach town is perfect! The cast of characters are relatable and easy to like. The little surprises that popped out here and there kept me interested and involved!!
