Waiting for Christmas by Lynn Austin

I really enjoyed reading this book! Lynn Austin is one of my favorite authors! Here's my review: This book is fabulous! There's nothing better than reading a Christmas book, especially when it's 90 degrees outside!! I was immediately drawn into this book and eagerly read it. (Almost hoping it would be longer 😀!) Addy and Howard are an amazing couple! When their paths cross with young Jack, their lives will never be the same! Jack's sad story tugged at my heartstrings. He's persistent, and he never wavers in believing the promise his father made. Honorable mention to Mrs. Gleason, Susannah, Addy's mother, and Howard's parents. Its their loving and caring support that help lead this story to a happy ending! Faith in God is prevalent throughout the book. My favorite quote is: "God knows all our needs before we even ask. And He knows the best way to answer our prayers, even if it isn't always what we wish for. Here's my review: This book was informative and interesting! I love it when authors take a piece of history and create an amazing fictional story. FDR is one of the presidents that I admire and this book showcased his leadership abilities and his dedication to the United States of America. Lizzie is an exceptional woman! She's an advocate, a confidant, and extremely loyal. She stayed with FDR literally until the end. We need more people in the world like Lizzie!

Absolutely splendid! Wow! I love this book so much! Here's my review: This is a fantastic book! It's divided into 7 regions of the USA. I enjoyed reading and learning about every place that was included. Some of them I have been to and the rest are on my bucket list. The pictures are extraordinary! They made me want to hop on a plane and go on an adventure. I hope the author writes more books like these. I won a complimentary copy of the book from LibraryThing. The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter

I don't like giving spoilers because I believe that everyone should read and judge a book for themself. This book is worth the time, believe me! Here's my review: Oh wow! This book is amazing! There are so many twists and turns. I thought I had it figured out and then it turns out that I didn't!! I enjoyed everything about this book. The setting of a picturesque small beach town is perfect! The cast of characters are relatable and easy to like. The little surprises that popped out here and there kept me interested and involved!!
