What a wonderful book! Here's my review:
Wow! This book is amazing! Karen Witemeyer is a truly gifted author! This story has so much going on! Attempted murder, arson, secrets, and revenge. There's also the sweetest love story!
Samantha is my favorite because she is a lot like me! She speaks her mind, isn't afraid to tackle anything, and loves her family a lot! Asher is swoon worthy! He takes his responsibilities seriously. He's a hard worker and a man of his word. Mama Bess is my hero! She faces many difficulties but trusts that the Lord will provide.
The most heartbreaking part for me was when Samantha read her mother's journal. What she found out could have made her bitter and unforgiving. I like her prayer where she asks God to create in her a clean heart.
Karen Witemeyer is on my must read list! Whenever her books come out, I make sure to either buy them or request them from the library.
