Being honest here- I HATE creepy books but I always end up reading the ones by Jamie Jo Wright. I highly recommend her books, but don't read too late at night :) Here's my review:
An interesting, eerie, and hauntingly good book. I am not a fan of creepy, eerie books, but somehow, Jamie Jo Wright pulls me in with her amazing writing. There's suspense, intrigue, mysteries, missing people, hidden passageways, and more.
The characters are wonderful! Greta won me over with her tenacious spirit. She never gives up. The way Oscar and Eleanor looked out for Greta was endearing. Kit is true blue. A loyal friend willing to go the extra mile.
I really liked how each timeline was represented throughout the book. I also liked how some of the characters were grounded in their faith. This book is a reminder that we should be aware that evil exists, but it doesn't have the upper hand.
I really enjoyed this book! It inspired me to research this time period and the people who shaped history then! Here's my review: This is an intriguing and interesting book! Historical fiction is my favorite genre, and this book is captivating. I had never heard of Frances Perkins before. I will definitely be researching her life and the ways that she attributed to politics. She was an amazing woman who sacrificed a lot to help her country. If you read this book, let me know what you think! Jeanette
