Of Gold and Shadows by Michelle Griep

This book is perfect timing for October/ spooky stories. Here's my review: Wow! A Gothic story filled with murder, mayhem, plot twists, and treasure! I find the study of artifacts very intriguing, especially ancient Egyptian artifacts. What an amazing cast of characters! Ami is extraordinary! She's passionate about becoming an Egyptologist. She's so passionate that she often ends up in precarious situations. Edmund, pitter patter goes my heart. A protector, compassionate, caring, and loyal. I will admit that I felt the teeniest bit of sympathy for Brudge. He's a reminder that bad choices can have severe consequences. The love story is very sweet and romantic! I especially enjoyed the poetry writing! I respect how Michelle Griep handled faith and ancient religions. The reminder that God is the all-powerful One hits the nail on the head. Absolutely splendid! Wow! I love this book so much! Here's my review: This is a fantastic book! It's divided into 7 regions of the USA. I enjoyed reading and learning about every place that was included. Some of them I have been to and the rest are on my bucket list. The pictures are extraordinary! They made me want to hop on a plane and go on an adventure. I hope the author writes more books like these. I won a complimentary copy of the book from LibraryThing. The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter

I don't like giving spoilers because I believe that everyone should read and judge a book for themself. This book is worth the time, believe me! Here's my review: Oh wow! This book is amazing! There are so many twists and turns. I thought I had it figured out and then it turns out that I didn't!! I enjoyed everything about this book. The setting of a picturesque small beach town is perfect! The cast of characters are relatable and easy to like. The little surprises that popped out here and there kept me interested and involved!!
