I enjoyed reading this book! It piqued my interest just a few paragraphs in. I think it would have been better for me to have read the first two books in the series instead ofstartingwith the third. I was a little lost with the characters' background stories.
Euphemia Duff was by far my favorite character. She's honest, forthright, and giving. She isn't afraid to credit the Lord for forgiving her sins. "The good Lord never treats us as our sins deserve." Sophie and Reinhold deserve credit for maturing and trying to change bad habits.
The only parts that made me uncomfortable were the "sexual" situations. There was no descriptive sex but there was a lot of passionate kissing and touching. It was a little over the top for Christian fiction. I will read the other books because I'm curious about Sophie's sisters.
I guess I was one of the few who thought it was overally sexual. Oh well. We all have opinions.
Absolutely splendid! Wow! I love this book so much! Here's my review: This is a fantastic book! It's divided into 7 regions of the USA. I enjoyed reading and learning about every place that was included. Some of them I have been to and the rest are on my bucket list. The pictures are extraordinary! They made me want to hop on a plane and go on an adventure. I hope the author writes more books like these. I won a complimentary copy of the book from LibraryThing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
