From the Valley We Rise by Elizabeth Musser

It seems like every other book that comes out is set in WWII. I liked how this author approached the subject, even though sometimes it was grisly. As I state in my review, I'm so incredibly thanksful for those who put their lives on the line so that others could be saved. Here's my review: Incroyable!! This story is a masterpiece in the Christian historical fiction/romance genre! It takes place mostly in Sisteron, France. The story follows the 3 main characters and how the war plays out from their perspectives. The characters are written brilliantly! Isabelle, Peter, and Rene are heroes. They all play an important part in the Resistance. Isabelle is brave, compassionate, and a quick thinker. Her quick thinking often saves her life and the lives of others. Peter is a comforter, encourager, and light in the darkness. Rene is brave. He thinks that he's not, but he is! He's loyal and trustworthy. As with any WWII stories, there are difficult issues brought up. There's murder, extreme cruelty, and more. Elizabeth Musser, though through her writing, shines a light on the men and women of the Resistance. These brave people saved many lives. Their courageous sacrifice touches my heart. Here's my review: This book was informative and interesting! I love it when authors take a piece of history and create an amazing fictional story. FDR is one of the presidents that I admire and this book showcased his leadership abilities and his dedication to the United States of America. Lizzie is an exceptional woman! She's an advocate, a confidant, and extremely loyal. She stayed with FDR literally until the end. We need more people in the world like Lizzie!

Absolutely splendid! Wow! I love this book so much! Here's my review: This is a fantastic book! It's divided into 7 regions of the USA. I enjoyed reading and learning about every place that was included. Some of them I have been to and the rest are on my bucket list. The pictures are extraordinary! They made me want to hop on a plane and go on an adventure. I hope the author writes more books like these. I won a complimentary copy of the book from LibraryThing. The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter

I don't like giving spoilers because I believe that everyone should read and judge a book for themself. This book is worth the time, believe me! Here's my review: Oh wow! This book is amazing! There are so many twists and turns. I thought I had it figured out and then it turns out that I didn't!! I enjoyed everything about this book. The setting of a picturesque small beach town is perfect! The cast of characters are relatable and easy to like. The little surprises that popped out here and there kept me interested and involved!!
