The Tropical Frontier (the foundling) by Tim Robinson

This is the first book that I've read by this author. It was pretty good. Some parts were a little much, and there is salty language. Here's my review: This is an interesting book. I was intrigued by the pirate aspect. It's about so much more than piracy. There's adventure, a miracle baby, royalty, treasure, shipwrecks and more! The one part that made me sad was the killing of a whale. I do understand its cultural significance but it's still heartbreaking. There's salty language too but it's pirates, iykyk! I'll definitely be reading more books by this author. I won this book via a Goodreads giveaway. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Here's my review: This book was informative and interesting! I love it when authors take a piece of history and create an amazing fictional story. FDR is one of the presidents that I admire and this book showcased his leadership abilities and his dedication to the United States of America. Lizzie is an exceptional woman! She's an advocate, a confidant, and extremely loyal. She stayed with FDR literally until the end. We need more people in the world like Lizzie!

The Summer of You and Me by Denise Hunter

I don't like giving spoilers because I believe that everyone should read and judge a book for themself. This book is worth the time, believe me! Here's my review: Oh wow! This book is amazing! There are so many twists and turns. I thought I had it figured out and then it turns out that I didn't!! I enjoyed everything about this book. The setting of a picturesque small beach town is perfect! The cast of characters are relatable and easy to like. The little surprises that popped out here and there kept me interested and involved!!
