This book really touched my heart. I follow Kelly Irvin on Facebook and Instagram and she's so inspirational. She herself deals with a physical disability. Her smile is dazzling! Here's my review:
I enjoyed reading this book! Amish fiction always speaks to my heart! The community that Bonnie and Elijah are a part of is supportive and close-knit!
Bonnie is AMAZING! She's running her own business despite her physical disability. She can be prickly about how people view her but Elijah helps her to see past her disability. Elijah is wonderful! I love that he's shy and compassionate.
The theme of believing in yourself is prevalent throughout the book. So is trusting God and His plan. I was encouraged by both of these themes!
Here's my review: This book was informative and interesting! I love it when authors take a piece of history and create an amazing fictional story. FDR is one of the presidents that I admire and this book showcased his leadership abilities and his dedication to the United States of America. Lizzie is an exceptional woman! She's an advocate, a confidant, and extremely loyal. She stayed with FDR literally until the end. We need more people in the world like Lizzie!
