Putin's Sledgehammer by Candace Rondeaux

Sometimes I win a book that I don't really like but it has to be read and reviewed so.... The beginning kind of made me sick. It talked about a youtube video regarding torture. I personally don't like to think about that stuff. But that's my opinion. The book is interesting with a lot of facts. Here's my review: This book is interesting and informative! The amount of research that Candace Rondeaux compiled for this book is astounding. I was drawn to the book by the title. I am one of many concerned citizens that has been perplexed by Russia's beef with Ukraine. This book explains some of the reasons and the power struggle within Russia's government. I won a complimentary copy of this book from LibraryThing. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a wonderful novella! I was totally captivated by the story in its entirety. The characters are relatable and easy to like. Titan is my favorite! His compassion and gentleman-like ways are endearing. He grows so much during the book and he also helps others grow. Grandfather Gates is wonderful! He appears gruff and grouchy but he has a heart of gold. This book helped me to remember how blessed I am to have a family that loves me and to cherish every moment with them. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series!

The Higher Desire Wife by J Parker

There's a lack of Christian books available to review on Library Thing so this is one that I chose to win. It's pretty explicit in some areas, some of it actually made me blush. Here's my review: I found this book to be interesting and informative! This book outlines helpful information for women whose sexual drive is higher than their husbands. The author provides hope, advice, and even scriptures to help women as they walk this path. I found a lot of wisdom and practical ways to apply this information in my own life.
