A Love Discovered by Tracie Peterson

I made it a point to read every book written by Tracie Peterson. She's a master storyteller! Here's my review: This is an amazing book! It has moments of sadness and moments of happiness. A newly married couple start their new life in the corrupt town of Cheyenne. The characters are written brilliantly! There are some horrible men, but they get what they deserve. Marybeth astounds me! She's strong, capable, loving, and makes the best of every situation. Edward is a protector and a good provider. Their arranged marriage brings companionship and safety. The secondary characters are relatable and easy to like. Fred, Eve, and Melody are all wonderful friends who become like family to Edward and Marybeth. I really enjoy the way that Tracie Peterson writes her stories. They are always full of detailed descriptions and vivid imagery. She also weaves faith into her books, which I find encouraging! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

The Snowy Cabin Cookbook by Marnie Hanel and Jen Stevenson

I picked up this book at the library because of the cute cover! I'm so glad that I did! It's a fun book and gets the reader ready for a cozy winter in a cabin (or at home!) Here's my review: This is such a fun book! There are scrumptious recipes, fun activities, and wonderful tips for having a great cabin adventure! I borrowed it from the library but I'm going to buy it because it's just that good!

Flirting with Alaska by Belle Calhoune

I love these books by Belle Calhoune! They're full of good times, a strong community and family ties! Here's my review: Another sweet and clean romance by Belle Calhoune! The setting of Moose Falls, Alaska, provides the perfect backdrop for love! This is the second book in the series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. There are a ton of familiar characters! The three handsome Stone brothers are wonderful! Their brotherly bond is strong and true. Hattie is still a fire cracker! She doesn't let her illness stop her from living life. Sophia is amazing! She's a strong, sexy, successful single mother! I enjoyed seeing Caleb grow and mature throughout the story! I really liked that Caleb was able to talk to his father about their painful past. As he learns about a distressing secret, he feels closer to Red and ready to listen to his heart. I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from Forever/ Hatchette Book Group via Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are

The Song of Sourwood Mountain by Ann Gabhart

When this book came out I knew that I was going to love it! The beautiful cover and the description intrigued me. I'm so glad that I read it! Here's my review: Wow! Another fantastic book by Ann Gabhart! It's set in Sourwood, Kentucky, a small community in the mountains. This book pulled on my heartstrings in many ways. There are many difficulties to overcome. Death, superstitions, and loss are part of life. Each of the main characters had special and unique qualities. Gordon, with his passion to establish a church and school in the mountains. Mira with her compassionate heart and patience. Ada June, with her tender heart that longs for family and is loyal to those she trusts. The love story is special. Gordon knows his hearts desire, but Mira is cautious. As she learns to put her faith in the Lord, her heart opens to Gordon. Gordon and Mira are great examples of how the Bible reminds us to care for the widows and orphans. They truly are the hands and feet of Jesus.

What I left for you by Liz Tolsma

Liz Tolsma writes such interesting and deep books. This book really made me think about life and how much that I have to be grateful for! Here's my review: Wow. More than 5 stars for this book! It touched my heart in so many ways. I was intrigued to read the book because I have Polish and Ukrainian grandparents. I'm sure that many of my family members endured similar devastating experiences. The main characters are amazing! Helena reminds me so much of my grandmother. Her courage to face every day is commendable. She suffers so many losses and almost loses herself. Her faith in God is tested many times. McKenna reminds me of me! Her longing to figure out her past and to try and restore relationships is remarkable. The imagery brings the countryside of Lemkovyna to life. I could see the hills dotted with sheep and hear the joyful laughter of the families living there. There are so many difficult circumstances in the book. The devastating horrors of war, death, work camps,

Wilderness Hunt by Lisa Phillips

I enjoy reading the Love inspired suspense books! They are relatively short but full of action! Here's my review: Wow! I truly enjoyed reading this book! It's a fast paced, action packed story! The characters are fantastic! Kelly and her dog, Nico are the perfect partners! Kelly doesn't hide from the truth and is determined to finish her investigation, no matter what. There are lots of twists and surprises! The ending was a complete shock! A definite must read!

The Burning of Rosemont Abbey by Naomi Stephens

I love when I win books and they turn out to be amazing! I enjoyed this book very much! Here's my review: Wow! This is an exceptional book! It's almost like Clue. There are so many different scenarios and potential culprits that my mind was swirling with the possibilities. The perpetrator was the last person that I would have thought it was. What an array of remarkable characters! Louisa is a complex character. Her relationship with her twin brother is strained. She loves her high society life, and Paul detests it. Malcolm, an old friend of the family, instantly clashes with Louisa as she remains adamant about her brothers innocence. Mrs. Watson is my favorite! She speaks her mind, but her heart is genuine. During the investigation regarding the Burning Of Rosemont Abbey, so many other things come to light. A secret romance, blackmail, betrayals, and murders. I loved the ending except that it was kind of a cliffhanger. This is the first book that I've read written by

The Reluctant Pioneer by Julie McDonald Zander

I saw that this book was available on Netgalley and it intrigued me! I'm so happy that I read it. Here's my review: Wow! This book is amazing! The Oregon Trail is a part of history that has always interested me! The author's writing brings to life the joys and trials that the pioneers faced. The characters are written brilliantly! Matilda is someone that I'd like to emulate. She's a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. Her faith sustains her through many trials and harrowing circumstances. Nicholas is such a good father and provider. Captain Magone is another favorite. He's a strong leader, compassionate and caring. I'm glad that the author, Julie McDonald Zander, did not shy away from writing about the difficulties that the pioneers faced. Lives were lost, injuries happened, and starvation was a constant fear. But, there were the joys of new life to be celebrated, friendships formed, and the hope for a better future. I look forward to reading more book

Fire in the Whole by Robert G Callahan II

I saw that this book was available to read on Netgalley without a request so I gave it a try. It's very eye opening. I hope that when people read it, they read it with an open heart and mind. Yes, some of the things are hard to read about but it's real life and a change is needed. Here's my review: An honest and straightforward book regarding white Christianity. The author lays it all out there to open the eyes and hearts to the hypocrisies infiltrating the American church. As per the book description, I relate as a progressive white ally seeking understanding of what went wrong. This is a book that everyone who desires to see a change not just for our generation but for the next should read. I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from Westminster John Knox Press via Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Road to Forever by Cassidy Berg

Another book that I won from LibraryThing! I enjoyed it very much! Here's my review: This is an enjoyable quick read! I loved everything about this book! The setting of Star Valley is serene and picturesque. The sense of community in Star Valley is refreshing! The townspeople embrace Becca as one of their own. I like the trope of grump meets perky! Once Greg lets down his walls, his true personality shines. He's compassionate, loving, and caring. I won this book via LibraryThing, and I'm so happy that I did!

The Gardins of Edin by Rosey Lee

The cover of this book really caught my attention. I had to wait a long time to get it from the library but I'm so glad that I read it! Here's my review: I really enjoyed reading this book! To me, there's nothing more important than family, and this book emphasizes that. Naomi is who I related to the most. A peacemaker who often puts her own emotions on the back burner. It's so great that she gets a second chance at love! I absolutely love Nicholas! He's so compassionate, giving, and romantic! The family dynamics, I feel, portray how many people feel in their lives. Tense get togethers, illnesses, and deaths can wreak havoc on relationships. I like how, in the end, everyone decided to make their situation work!

The Referee's Rendezvous by Cassidy Berg

This is an interesting and cute sweet romance book! I really enjoyed the whole story! Samantha is a trailblazer! Mike is kind of a jerk, but he mellows out. The romance is unexpected and is full of secrets. The ending is perfect!! I won this book via LibraryThing! *** There are a few swear words in the very beginning but everything else is clean, even the romance.

A Run at Love by Toni Shiloh

I was super excited when this book came out! I'm so glad that I read it! Here's my review: I loved everything about this book! The setting of a horse farm in Kentucky piqued my interest! I also liked the best friends to lovers trope! Piper amazed me! She pursued her dream of her horse winning the Derby despite many obstacles. Tucker is a dream boat! His way of planning and making lists is totally relatable! I enjoyed his spiritual journey as he decided to trust God more! Some difficult issues are brought up in the book. There's transracial adoption, a marriage in trouble, and a scandal. The author addresses these issues with compassion and understanding. I love Toni Shiloh's writing, and I look forward to reading her next book!

The Lost Boys of Barlow Theater by Jamie Jo Wright

Being honest here- I HATE creepy books but I always end up reading the ones by Jamie Jo Wright. I highly recommend her books, but don't read too late at night :) Here's my review: An interesting, eerie, and hauntingly good book. I am not a fan of creepy, eerie books, but somehow, Jamie Jo Wright pulls me in with her amazing writing. There's suspense, intrigue, mysteries, missing people, hidden passageways, and more. The characters are wonderful! Greta won me over with her tenacious spirit. She never gives up. The way Oscar and Eleanor looked out for Greta was endearing. Kit is true blue. A loyal friend willing to go the extra mile. I really liked how each timeline was represented throughout the book. I also liked how some of the characters were grounded in their faith. This book is a reminder that we should be aware that evil exists, but it doesn't have the upper hand.

The Wager by David Grann

This is an interesting and informative book. This is historical fiction with an emphasis on history. I don't remember reading about this particular event in a history book. It is amazing and horrifying at the same time. It's sad to me that so many men lost their life for gold that belonged to another country. ***There are many disturbing things that happen in the book. Murder, cannibalism, and vivid war scenes. I personally thought that they added to the story a lot. Being on a warship in those days was treacherous. I give credit to those who lost their lives. ***

The Dressmakers of London by Julia Kelly

I was very happy when NetGalley approved me to read this book! I was attracted at first to the cover. The story is amazing too! Here's my review: This is a fantastic book! I enjoyed the various settings. A dressmaker's shop in London, Nottingham Court, and a WAAF camp. The characters are relatable, and I became invested in Izzie and Sylvia's stories. Izzie started out thrilled with the responsibility of running her mother's dress shop. Her passion, though, is sketching and making beautiful clothes. Sylvia left her family behind as she walked toward a bigger and brighter future. A tragedy brings her back home, and she finds pieces of herself that were lost. It was heartwarming to watch the sisters' relationship unfold. As they wrote letters to each other, they began to see each other in a new light. I found the author's note very interesting! I never knew about the various clothing rations that occurred during the wars. The idea of owning clothing tailor-

When You Are Near by Tracie Peterson

I always enjoy a book written by Tracie Peterson! This one was very interesting because it was about life on the rails! Here's my review: I enjoyed reading this book! It was fascinating to read about the trick riding and life on the rails! There's also some intrigue and a murder. The themes are forgiveness, second chances, and the importance of family. I liked all of the characters except for the "bad" ones. The sense of community among the Brookstone Wild West Extravaganza is wonderful! The women and men support each other and genuinely care about each other! Tracie Peterson always delivers a great book! I look forward to reading her next one!

Sandcastle Inn by Irene Hannon

I can't say enough about the Hope Harbor series! There are so many fabulous characters that truly become like family! Here's my review: Another great book featuring Hope Harbor! I really enjoyed the whole story and the cast of characters! There are many familiar and beloved characters! The new ones are wonderful too! Vienna is amazing! She's talented, smart, and resourceful! Matt is swoon worthy! I love that he cherishes his family. Charley is the BEST! I wish I could savor his tacos and get some of his wise advice! The theme of second chances is so important. When Vienna decides to give her relationship with her mother a second chance, I was thrilled! Matt decides to give love a second chance, and Andrew gets a second chance with his in-laws. I eagerly look forward to the next book!

Silencing the Witness by Laura Conaway

This book is fantastic! Here's my review: Wow! Talk about non-stop intense action and suspense! My heart was definitely racing a few times! I always wondered about witness protection programs, and this book answered a lot of my questions. Avery is amazing! She's strong, a survivor, and a fighter. She doesn't give up easily. Seth is complex. He's carrying a lot of guilt from his past. As they both move on toward forgiveness, they also move towards love. I definitely recommend this book! I look forward to reading more books by Laura Conaway!

This is the first book that I've read by T.I. Lowe. I have heard a lot of people saying that she's an excellent writer and she is! Here's my review: Wow! Prepare for an emotional roller-coaster. This book had me laughing and crying. There is loss, heartbreaking memories, and tears. There's also second chances, new memories, and renewed love! "We'd lost a lot, but look at how much we'd found within the ruins of our loss." These characters are some of my all-time favorites! Avalee's backstory broke my heart. Her losses were monumental. As each piece of the puzzle was coming together, I hoped that the product would be a brighter future. Rowan- hunk! Yes, he's more than that! He's compassionate, trustworthy, persistent, and loyal! I'm so happy that Bash and Koda found a family! Some difficult issues are brought up in the book. Death, murder, miscarriages and failed relationships. I really appreciated the author's note concerning mi

The Mystery of the Crazy Quilt by Jodi Allen Brice

This is an enjoyable and exciting book! There's a murder, a mystery, a missing goat, and lots of surprises! All of the women in the quilting group are good-hearted and somewhat nosey! Being inquisitive has solved many crimes. Bertha is my favorite because she speaks her mind! Shout out to Petunia and Tarzan! Their personalities are perfect! I was totally surprised to find out who the perpetrator was. It was nice to see justice served in the end. I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

There's subplots, murder, intrigue, kidnapping, and more! The ending was a complete surprise and cliffhanger!! The characters are written brilliantly! I connected with Savannah and Hez. Hopefully Ever After by Beth Wiseman

I love any book by Beth Wiseman! This was fantastic! Here's my review: Another fantastic book by Beth Wiseman! I absolutely love the way she writes! As I read, I became engaged in the story. There are some familiar characters and some new ones. I connected with Eden immediately. Her unfortunate circumstances did not define her. She rose above them and grew as a person and in her faith. I also connected with Samuel. He's struggling with his faith and with his overprotective parents. Yvonne impressed me very much. She made mistakes, but she always apologized and asked for forgiveness. The best part of the whole book for me was when Eden found out that her mother had accepted Jesus into her heart. I also liked the parts where Samuel's parents decided to let him grow up.

Brave by Mesu Andrews

I am on the launch team for this book! It's a wonderful book. Perfect for Biblical fiction lovers! Here's my review: Wow! Mesu Andrews takes Biblical fiction to the next level! This book is amazing! As soon as I read the first line, I knew this would be an exciting journey! David is a complicated person/character. He is passionate about his love for God. He's a strong leader, brave and steadfast. He also makes mistakes; which reminds the reader of his human nature. Ahinoam and Zeruiah are my absolute favorites! They are strong, physically, and mentally. They love fiercely. They believe in Yahweh and that David is the chosen king. There are several parts of the book that really intrigue me. First, David's relationship with his father. It seems as if there is little affection and respect between them. Second is David deciding he needs more than one wife. This is explained in the note to the reader. Third is how Ahinoam reminds David several times of his need to spen

The Christmas Gathering by Shelly Shepard Gray, Lenora Worth and Rachel J Good

Another one by Netgalley! I was so happy to be approved for this one! Here's my review: I am truly ready for Christmas after reading this book! Three fabulous stories by spectacular authors! I honestly loved them all! There are a lot of fun times like a scavenger hunt, a snowman contest, and an Amish rock band! The characters are wonderful! They are all relatable and easy to like. Each love story involving the main characters was unique and sweet! It was nice to have familiar characters from other books! The struggles that were in each book are certainly understandable. People from different backgrounds figuring out love. Family feuds and misunderstandings. A longing to use the gifts that God has given. The authors addressed these issues with grace and compassion. I will, without a doubt, be looking forward to the next book by these authors! I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from Kensington Publishing Corp. via Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A Convenient Heart by Lacy Williams

Here's my review: I really enjoyed reading this book! It's romance with a bit of intrigue! I was hooked from the very beginning! Hands down, Jack is my favorite! He's a bit of a bad boy but also endearing! As I learned more about him and his protective nature, I liked him even more! The romance is not a conventional love story. There's hurtful pasts to deal with and a mistaken identity. But it all works out in the end! I enjoy Lacy Williams' books very much! I look forward to the next one! I was provided a complimentary copy of the book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I always enjoy books by Lacy Williams! Here characters are wonderful and the stories are fantastic!
